Updated 9 October 2026Choose your deployment
Inkspect Cloud is operated by us: use the hosted application and leave infrastructure and updates to Inkspect. Self-hosted Inkspect runs in your environment: your team manages deployment, access, retention, and maintenance.
Start with the option that matches how your team wants to operate the service.
Connect your repository
Sign in to Inkspect Cloud or your organization’s Inkspect instance. Choose the repository you want to review and follow the connection flow. Read the requested permissions before approving access.
Open a pull request
Work in your usual pull request flow. Review the findings alongside your changes, using each explanation to understand the potential impact.
Read the reasoning
Start with the finding and the code it refers to. Consider the surrounding context, then discuss the suggested approach with your team. Automated assistance is one input into your review.
Make the final call
Validate a suggested change against your codebase, run relevant tests, and decide what to merge. Inkspect supplies perspective; your team owns the decision.
Help a new teammate learn the codebase
The dashboard chat lets team members ask questions about a connected codebase. A new developer can explore authentication, trace a feature, or ask about a project convention. RAG retrieves relevant code and documentation to ground each answer in the project.
Answers should include source references and respect repository permissions. When the available evidence does not answer a question, the conversation should identify what is missing. Explore the walkthrough for an example conversation.
Pull task context for an AI teammate
The CLI context pull workflow starts with a task description, retrieves the related code and documentation, and returns a focused context package with source references. Pass that package alongside your prompt to an AI coding assistant.
This gives the assistant a relevant starting point without loading the entire codebase into every prompt. Indexing still needs access to the repository, and additional targeted reads may be needed. Context access must stay within the requesting user’s permissions.
Review the selected repository and the retrieved source references before sharing a context package with your AI assistant.
Understand plans and fair usage
Compare Cloud, Cloud BYOK, and free self-hosting. Choose monthly billing or save 20% on Cloud seat subscriptions with annual billing.
Read how shared AI credit, processing limits, and review budgets work before choosing a plan. The Fair Usage Limits Policy also explains what changes when you bring your own key or host Inkspect yourself.
Try the review playground
Explore three prepared examples on the homepage. Select a finding, expand its context, and use “Preview fix” to compare a suggested change with the original. Playground interactions do not modify a repository.
Every line deserves a second look.
