Code review for coding agents.
Inkspect connects code changes to task requirements, team rules and test evidence so your team can review the work its coding agents deliver.
Updated 23 October 2026What is agent review?
For Inkspect, agent review means reviewing the work a coding agent delivers against the task it was given. Code review remains the foundation: inspect behavior, follow dependencies and explain actionable findings. Task requirements and verification evidence add the context needed to decide whether the work is complete.
The result is a review a person can inspect and an agent can act on. Each requirement is marked as supported by evidence, violated or unverified. Evidence supports the stated scope; it does not guarantee that the entire system is correct.
Review the task alongside the code
Connect an agreed task to a fixed Git code revision and review the results in a saved report. Keep requirements, findings and verification evidence together so your team can trace each conclusion back to the code.
- Task coverage: connect each acceptance criterion to the implementation and relevant checks.
- Scope and team rules: identify changes that conflict with approved requirements or project constraints.
- Verification evidence: distinguish checks that ran from checks that were suggested, skipped or failed.
- Human decisions: explain unresolved risks and missing evidence without treating an empty findings list as proof of completion.
A report belongs to the version it reviewed
The workflow keeps analysis status, requirement evidence and your acceptance decision separate. A completed review may still contain unmet requirements or missing checks. Your team makes the final decision.
When an agent changes the code, the previous report and test evidence must not silently become proof for the new version. Follow-up reviews have limits on time, cost and correction rounds, with incomplete results clearly marked.
A passing test can leave a task unfinished
Consider a task to delete an account, its uploaded files and its active sessions. An endpoint test might pass after deleting the database record while the other two requirements remain unmet.
In this illustrative example, the review assesses each requirement separately, points to the relevant code and checks, and flags missing cleanup or missing evidence. It does not accept the agent’s completion summary as proof that every requirement was met.
Will Inkspect support Anthropic Scion?
Inkspect reviews Git-based workflows. Scion compatibility is on the roadmap and depends on an accessible integration interface and validation against that system.
Anthropic describes Scion as its internal source control system and Antique as its code review surface. Its October 13, 2026 article does not announce a generally available Scion product. Inkspect is independent of Anthropic; this roadmap does not imply a partnership.
